If you are concerened for someones mental health and they are under 18 you need to get in touch with CAMHS. You can do this via the persons GP, school teacher, headmaster, social worker. Discuss the situation and your concerns with them. they can put you in touch with CAMHS.

changes to the mental health act...


The Department of Health has published briefings on its website on the planned changes. These cover:

  • supervised community treatment
  • professional roles 
  • nearest relative
  • definition of mental disorder
  • criteria for detention
  • the Mental Health Review Tribunal
  • implementation of the measures in the Bill once it has been passed.
